***No more gigs this year! Work begins on album #3. Plus: NEWS.***

Hi everyone

Cambridge Junction was fantastic, a brilliant way for us to end the (gigging) year - thanks everyone! There's some pictures up on our Facebook and MySpace pages so you can relive how outrageously erotic we were looking onstage, but beware, you may actually swoon with lust.

That's it for us this year now as far as gigging goes, we're already working on the next album so there'll be no gigs until next Spring, with hopefully something ready to release in early Summer.

In the meantime, there's a few pieces of news which may be of interest:

FIRSTLY, we found out earlier today that 3 of our songs are being used on a new TV series called Tempting Fates. It's currently being broadcast on t'internet and will hopefully then move to TV - we're not sure when we'll feature but we'll let you know as soon as we do. In the meantime, you can find out more about the show here: http://www.temptingfates.com/

SECONDLY, our guitarist Seymour may soon have his own radio show - again, details are tbc but as soon as it's all confirmed we'll let you know.

THIRDLY, if you're so inclined you can now follow what we're up to on Twitter: http://twitter.com/tencitynation Just don't expect to find any of us bleating on about our shopping or what we had for lunch.

AND FINALLY, A TREAT: Maps Magazine are giving away a free Hallowe'en download compilation, featuring our song 'Skeletons' and loads more aceness. To help yourself to the tracks, simply go to http://www.mapsmagazine.co.uk/ and help your flippin' self.

OH YEAH, AND FINALLY FINALLY - you can still download our entire back catalogue free from our website - http://www.tencitynation.com Click on the "shop" section for special deals on T-shirts and badges and stickers and stuff.

And that's it for now. Ta-ra!

***New album out today! PLUS: XFM, NME, Artrocker goodness, live DVD shoot and more gig details...***

Hi everyone

AN APOLOGY

Firstly, Apologies to anyone who went to see us at Hachfest on Saturday - one of our number was taken ill en route and we were forced to turn back. Said person is now fully recovered and we're looking forward to rocking the collective tits off of the people of Cambridgeshire this Saturday at Fordhamfest. If anyone went to Hachfest specifically to see us (which is, let's face it, unlikely), please let us know and we'll try to make it up to you!

Now for the good stuff:

NEW ALBUM OUT TODAY!

Our new album, 'At The Still Point', is out today! We've released it on our own label, Sturm Und Drang Recordings, you can buy it in all good record stores (online and proper ones you can walk into and everything) AND it's also available in the following formats from our website:

* FREE download

* CD version for only £5

* CD of 'At The Still Point' plus a T-shirt, stickers, badges and more for only £10

To sample these delights, simply go to our website at www.tencitynation.com and click yourself silly.

Don't forget that there are still copies of our 7" single, 'Silent Disco'/'Flashing Lights', available in increasingly limited quantities from R*E*P*E*A*T Records - www.repeatfanzine.co.uk

GOOD REVIEWS VALIDATE OUR EXISTENCE

The album's been getting rather good reviews - here's what Artrocker, Rock Sound and NME have had to say:

?A relentless journey through thundering alternative rock? Ten City Nation could be on to something here.? ? Artrocker

?Listen closely and you?ll notice the intricacies, layers and attention to detail. TCN understand that subtlety can be a powerful tool, and that makes them a very exciting prospect indeed.? ? Rock Sound

?The best use of fuzz pedal we?ve heard this year? the kind of music that?s in search of beauty (7/10)? ? NME

Which is nice.

XFM PLAYLIST THRILLAGE

The very lovely John Kennedy has been playing 'Flashing Lights' on his XFM show - if you'd like to encourage him to play it some more, I'm sure he'd love to hear from you: john.kennedy@xfm.co.uk

LAST FEW GIGS + LIVE DVD SHOOT

We've got a handful of gigs left this year before we disappear back to the farm to start work on the next album. We're headlining Camden Head on 12th September - advance tickets are only £3 from WeGotTickets.com and as it's a very small venue, there's every chance they'll sell out so we'd advise getting yours without delay.

We're also headlining at the Fox in Lewisham, South London on Saturday 12th September - it'll be our last London gig of the year and we'll be filming for a future live DVD and probable webcast, so if you want to secure your place in rock history, you know where to be.
